Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist

THE JOB OF HSE SPECIALIST INVOLVES

  • Train and educate: Educate employees on industrial safety standards, protocols, procedures, and best practices. Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and informational materials to ensure employees are well-informed and knowledgeable about safety practices.
  • Assess risks and hazards: Assess potential risks and hazards in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them. Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential dangers, and implement controls to minimize or eliminate risks.
  • Investigate and analyze: Investigate the cause of accidents, incidents, or near-misses and develop strategies to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. Analyze data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to enhance safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations: Possess a comprehensive understanding of local, regional, and national health, safety, and environmental regulations, stay up to date with the latest standards, and ensure compliance within our organization.
  • Industry Knowledge: Must have a general understanding of applicable industrial standards.
  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate and work well with coworkers and internal and external teams.
  • Physical stamina: This role may involve physically demanding tasks such as site inspections and responding to emergencies.
  • The ability to work in various environments: Indoors and outdoors in all-weather types.
